An entire tour through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park puts the life of the volcano right in front of you at a number of awe-inspiring sites like the Thurston Lava Tube, Kilauea Steam Vents, Kilauea Iki Overlook, and the Halema'uma'u Crater Lookout. From all of these sites, you are able to see the full impact of the volcanic acitivity on Hawaii's youngest island.
But that's not all! Before entering the park, your guide shows you some of Hilo Town's hidden gems, including Rainbow Falls, Banyan Drive, and even a black sand beach or two. We cannot guarantee lava sighting. However, this year many of our tours experienced a lava sighting, so it is a possibility. We cannot reimburse you if you don't see lava, but we can tell you that this volcano tour is filled with tons of exciting stops and stories!
Volcanic fumes (VOG) are hazardous to your health. Persons with breathing and heart difficulties, pregnant women, infants, and young children are especially at risk should consult a health care professional before taking this tour to avoid potential health problems from exposure to fumes.
